ABOUT
Mundui House is situated on the shore of Lake Oloiden within the ARR private wildlife conservancy, nestled in the volcanic hills and open grasslands on the western edge of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya. Only 2 hours drive from Nairobi, Mundui House is the perfect romantic escape or weekend getaway for couples, families and friends. The lawns, which slope down to the lake shore, are a favourite hangout and grazing spot for warthog, antelope, zebra, giraffe , hippo, buffalo and many species of birds. The house has no fences and wildlife roams freely.
The altitude in Naivasha is 7000 ft (1926m) with typically warm days (sometimes hot), cool nights and very low humidity
HOW TO FIND US
Driving:

Approximately a 2 hour drive From Nairobi on tarmac roads

Mundui House is a 40 min drive down the Moi South Lake road (off the lower Nairobi road, near Naivasha town); the turning is on the right hand side immediately after Kongoni Village

HISTORY
One of the oldest houses around the lake, Mundui House has an interesting history and visitors such as Ernest Hemingway and Winston Churchill have stayed on the historic property.
The spacious & homely guest house and its position on the ARR Conservancy make it the perfect venue for a relaxing few days, day trip, wedding or other event.
The Lake Naivasha area is a UNESCO natural heritage site for the prolific birdlife of over 400 different species.

Our excellent chef can prepare meals according to your specifications. We offer a bespoke shopping and menu planning service. All meals are prepared using fresh locally sourced organic produce and served in the garden, on the verandah or in the cosy dining room.
